Position Signup

These are brief descriptions of the positions available. Further information on each position and duties will be provided at the volunteer orientation. We cannot guarantee that you will be assigned to the position you request. You must be willing to work an alternate position and you may be asked to fill in where needed during the course of the tournament.

Course Marshals (Needed: Tues - Sun)
Marshals represent 70% of volunteer positions at the Tournament. This is a relatively stationary position that is responsible for spectator control.

Security (Needed: Tues - Sun)
Stationary position checking passes at Clubhouse, VIP Tents, Locker Room and Front Gate.

Scoring (Needed: Fri, Sat & Sun Only)
NOTE: Scoring experience mandatory

Walking Scorer - Will walk with each group and mark scores. Reports to scorekeeper/hole reporter. You must be able to walk the course and have a working knowledge of golf and the scoring system.
Scoring Control - Stationary position inside trailer. Receives scores from hole reporters.
Runners - Good position for people willing to do a lot of walking and able to handle responsibility in a flexible manner.
Scoring Tent - Stationary position. Strong math skills, knowledge of golf scoring, ability to read scorecard needed.

Standard Bearer (Needed: Fri, Sat & Sun Only)
Each bearer will be assigned to walk with a threesome of celebrities. You will carry a large sign to identify their arrival at each hole, their current scores and standings. You must be in good physical condition and prepared to carry a five pound sign throughout play and understand scoring.

Leader Board (Needed: Fri, Sat & Sun Only)
Communicates with scorers and works in teams of four to post scores. Stationary position. Must be comfortable working on an elevated platform. Requires a working knowledge of golf and the scoring system.

Hole Reporter (Needed: Fri, Sat & Sun Only)
Will communicate scores via radio to Scoring Control. Stationary position at each hole.

Days Available: 2-day minimum commitment please. If you indicate availability for all 6 days, you may be assigned for all 6 days.

*** Only marshals and security are needed on July 13, 14 and 15. Those available for Friday & Saturday ONLY will be assigned last because of the difficulty of filling Sunday’s Schedule. Priority will be given to those volunteering for all 6 days, followed by preference for those volunteering all 3 days of the tournament, July 16-18.

2010 VOLUNTEER UNIFORM & ADDITIONAL ITEMS

A 2010 Tournament Uniform is required for all volunteers. Please note shirts are available in both men’s and women’s sizes. Please mark your appropriate size and any additional items you may want to order.
